Hykham Tigers JFC was founded in October 2005. At that stage we were just running training. We then affiliated to the Lincolnshire FA as “South Lincoln JFC” and on 4th December 2005, we had our first association match. This was a friendly away to Toft Newton 10’s and the result was a 24-0 loss.
We played a total of 14 more matches during the 2005-2006 season and as it drew to an end we entered into various tournaments. We also decided to enter our 2 teams into the league. For various reasons, we had to change our name and it was decided at the 2006 AGM that we would be called "Hykeham Tigers JFC".
We now have over 230 child members of the club and 40 volunteers as the club rapidly expands. For the 2009/2010 season we have 17 teams in the Mid Lincs Youth League and 1 into the Humberside Ladies league. The club has also recently been awarded chartered standard which recongnises high standards in coaching, administration and child protection and is now working towards the next stage charter standard development.
