Hykham Tigers JFC was founded in October 2005. At that stage we were just running training. We then affiliated to the Lincolnshire FA as “South Lincoln JFC” and on 4th December 2005, we had our first association match. This was a friendly away to Toft Newton 10’s and the result was a 24-0 loss.
We played a total of 14 more matches during the 2005-2006 season and as it drew to an end we entered into various tournaments. We also decided to enter our 2 teams into the league. For various reasons, we had to change our name and it was decided at the 2006 AGM that we would be called "Hykeham Tigers JFC".
In December 2008 the club was awarded Charter Standard which recognises high standards in organisation, administration, child protection and coaching.
At the 2008 Mid Lincs Youth League AGM Hykeham Tigers were awarded Club of the Year, a very prestigious award which the league rate higher than any cups they give out. On 2009 the club broke the records by being the first in the league’s 25 year history to win the award in 2 years running. In 2010 again Hykeham Tigers retained this, an achievement which the league described as “astonishing”.
In the Summer of 2011, a merger with Varsity City FC saw Hykeham Tigers include their first adults team and another name change to "Hykeham Tigers FC".
We now have over 280 members of the club and 60 volunteers as the club continues to rapidly expands. For the 2011/2012 season we will have 23 teams playing in the Mid Lincs Youth League, Lincolnshire Ladies League and Lincoln Sunday League.
